Divi contact form does not show return email?!

QuestionsCategory: DiviDivi contact form does not show return email?!
Nadia asked 5 years ago

We’ve been using Divi for quite some time, and now, out of the blue when we get enquiries from the contact form on the site, it doesn’t include a return email address. The form fiels is there and requires an email address, but it doesn’t show in the mail we then receive.
This is quite urgent, as we are supposed to be getting orders through the site.

I ran into this same problem, but as it turns out, when you hit REPLY to the email you get from your site, the senders email is automatically there to reply to 🙂

That wasn’t the case for me – – nowhere does the sender’s email appear?  We are unable to reply to their inquiries. Wound up using another contact form plugin. So odd that the most important thing a contact form needs to do – – supply you with the sender’s email address so you can reply to them – – this contact module does not do!??

One SIMPLE way I’ve fixed it is to delete the default “email” field in the Divi contact form and create a new one anywhere below the name field. I name the new field something different than what was there before, like “emailo” or whatever (I think naming it “email’ again might be fine if I remember correctly, this is just what I usually do to be safe & it works), give it the title Email or Email Address or whatever u want to appear on the front end, save it, and now the sender’s email address will show up in all email clients that I’ve tested it on.

Hope that helps.
